Casino Group’s New Plan to Lead Convenience Retailing
Casino Group has announced its ambitious “Renouveau 2028” plan, targeting leadership in convenience retailing across France. The strategy focuses on three main areas: becoming a go-to choice for daily essentials, expanding in Quick Meal Solutions, and leading new service offerings for everyday needs.
To achieve these goals, Casino will draw on its brand strength, service culture, group collaboration, team energy, and commitment to social and environmental values. With a €1.2 billion investment, the group plans to boost sales to €15 billion by 2028, expecting to reach cash flow balance by 2026. Casino’s strategy emphasizes local community needs, personalized shopping experiences, and eco-conscious initiatives like reducing carbon emissions and promoting local products.
According to CEO Philippe Palazzi, the initiative will “redefine convenience retailing” by offering tailored products and attentive service in accessible locations. The group is also restructuring, shifting to a franchise model and focusing on popular brands like Monoprix and Franprix.
