Toast and Uber Expand Commission-Free Delivery

Toast and Uber Partner to Revolutionize Restaurant Deliveries

Toast, the all-in-one restaurant technology platform, and Uber have expanded their partnership to provide restaurants across the U.S. with a commission-free delivery solution. This integration between Toast Delivery Services and Uber Direct helps restaurants reduce costs, extend their delivery radius, and reach more diners through efficient local delivery.

A Game-Changer for Restaurants

With the new integration, restaurants can use Uber Direct to fulfill orders placed through Toast’s digital channels, including Online Ordering, Branded Mobile Apps, and the Local by Toast app. Unlike traditional delivery services that charge high commissions, Uber Direct offers a low flat fee per order, helping restaurants keep more of their profits.

“This partnership gives restaurants the tools they need to deliver a fast, reliable experience to their guests while improving margins,” said Kelly Esten, Chief Marketing Officer at Toast.

Benefits for Restaurants and Diners

The expanded partnership builds on Toast and Uber’s collaboration since 2021, which enabled seamless deliveries through the Uber Eats app. Now, restaurants can use Uber’s extensive delivery network for orders made by phone or directly through their own digital channels, allowing them to:

  • Save on delivery fees with commission-free delivery.
  • Expand their delivery radius to serve more customers.
  • Provide guests with speedy, reliable delivery.

Real Results in Action

Over Easy, a breakfast chain with 16 locations in Arizona, is already benefiting from this integration. “Uber Direct for Toast Delivery Services keeps delivery prices down, improves guest experience, and seamlessly integrates with our platform,” said Brian Terpay, COO of Over Easy.

Meeting Modern Expectations

As more consumers prefer the convenience of online ordering, this partnership enables restaurants to stay competitive and meet customer demands on their terms. Restaurants listed on Uber Eats can continue acquiring new customers while using Uber Direct to fulfill orders placed directly through their own platforms.

With this expanded partnership, Toast and Uber are helping restaurants thrive by offering more flexibility, better margins, and access to a wider audience.
