Transforming Refrigeration for a Sustainable Future

Carrier Refrigeration Launches the Transform Line

Carrier Refrigeration, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, has introduced its Transform Line, a range of modernization and retrofit solutions. This initiative aims to meet future demands for truck, trailer, rail, and container refrigeration systems while maximizing the value of customers’ existing fleets. The Transform Line is designed to enhance performance, reduce environmental impact, and ensure regulatory compliance, catering to a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Innovations in the Transform Line

  1. Eco-Drive Power Module
The Eco-Drive power module, now part of the Transform Line in Europe, is a retrofit solution for trucks and trailers. It utilizes a hydraulic pump connected to the truck engine’s power take-off to drive a generator, delivering full refrigeration capacity regardless of engine speed. This ensures energy efficiency and consistent cargo cooling, even during idling.
  2. Engine Emissions Systems (EES)
To comply with stringent California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations, Carrier offers EES retrofit kits. These are designed for generator sets and trailer refrigeration units manufactured before mid-2023, ensuring fleet operators in California maintain compliance with emissions standards.
  3. EverFRESH Controlled Atmosphere Kits
For container refrigeration units, Carrier provides EverFRESH retrofit kits through the Transform Line. These kits are designed to extend the shelf life and maintain the quality of transported goods, enhancing cargo protection.

Sustainability and Modernization Focus

The Transform Line emphasizes sustainability by offering solutions that reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions, and enhance energy efficiency. It also prepares fleets for the future, addressing demands for digital connectivity, electrification, and improved operational efficiency. The line aligns with Carrier’s broader strategy of enabling businesses to meet environmental goals while achieving operational excellence.

Future Developments

Carrier plans to expand the Transform Line in 2025 with additional solutions, including refrigeration unit upgrades and technologies to optimize fleet sustainability and cargo quality. These advancements will build on Carrier’s current aftermarket offerings, which include:

  • Performance Parts: Genuine components ensuring peak efficiency.
  • Select Line: Cost-effective replacement parts for lower ownership costs.
  • 20 Series: Reliable parts compatible with competitor units.

Driving Change in Refrigeration

The Transform Line represents a significant step in advancing refrigeration technologies, supporting businesses in adapting to a future marked by tighter regulations, evolving customer expectations, and environmental challenges. With its focus on innovation, Carrier Refrigeration continues to lead the way in creating solutions that address the needs of modern fleets.
